What a feast of fine music making. I studied with Robert Mealy and Elizabeth Blumenstock premiere baroque violinists for this fabulous festival. Highlights included performances of the Bach b minor Mass and Purcell’s King Arthur with the festival orchestra and chorus. It was really meaningful to play in several chamber music ensembles and a chamber orchestra too. I’m reminded of how rewarding it is to be with others who are passionate about historical performance, who find joy in making each note beautiful, who like to practice hard as well as to laugh!
